Container Logistics Hinterland 2003 > (click for more details)

The Van Meegen Group of Companies started in 2003 a Hinterland connection with container ships between Amsterdam-Rotterdam/ Antwerp. This ships were specially designed to sail under the very low bridges with 4 layers of containers. The special ballast-tanks and the wheelhouse made this possible.

Between the Amsterdam "Ceres Paragon" Terminal and the Rotterdam/Antwerp harbour we transported more than 100.000 containers yearly. The single sailing distance is between 8 and 10 hours.
